The Stano Foundation worked in partnership with the AMVETS Post 26 unit to fill approximately 250 care packages for our deployed.  They were gracious enough to help with purchasing some of the items for each of the packages along with donating monetarily to help offset the shipping charges.  The Sons of AMVETS are part of the distribution network for Help Heal Veterans and graciously provided craft kits for each of the packages.  These will definitely be a great surprise for our recipients!  The Juniors wrote letters for each package and enclosed a picture which will truly bring some smiles out for sure.  This was an outstanding effort by all and we’re looking forward to working together again!

“As Commander of AMVETS Post 26, I would like to express my gratitude for the heart-warming Stano Foundation volunteer care package project held at our Post last Saturday.  The STANO volunteers are very efficient and cordial. Our little Post is a tight family and we feel STANO is now part of our Veterans family. Many of our volunteers from AMVETS Post 26 (AMVETS, Juniors, Sons of AMVETS, Ladies Auxiliary and Riders), AMVETS Post 32 and Sons of AMVETS Department Officers stated how rewarded they felt with this project.  We would like to continue our relationship for more of these care package projects in the future.  Thank you Stano Foundation!”
